Climate Risk Data

In doing city research I find one of the most interesting collections of data is in regards to Climate Risk, Climate Change and the likes. Below I have compiled links to sources I have found online for researching Climate related data in relation to specific locations in the United States of America.

Best Places Climate Comparison– I find Best Places super helpful because it provides Cost of Living and other data and you can compare two cities. For Climate I like how it shows you the annual snowfall and rainfall and the elevation amongst other useful data points. https://www.bestplaces.net/climate/

Climate check– This tool allows you to input a specific street address to get immediate feedback on the Storm Risk, Heat Risk, Drought Risk, Flood Risk and Fire Risk. Source of the data is https://climatecheck.com/

FEMA RISK MAP– This map blew my fucking mind. It has a heat map of risk all over the country. Super useful in figuring out what more broad areas outlook is related to 18 Natural Hazards including; Avalanche, Coastal Flooding, Cold Wave, Drought, Earthquake, Hail, Heat Wave, Hurricane, Ice Storm, Landslide, Lightning, Riverine Flooding, Strong Wind, Tornado, Tsunami, Volcanic, Activity, Wildfire, and Winter Weather. https://hazards.fema.gov/nri/map
